Franchises have always been a bit tricky because you’re working under one company with many locations. To add another layer, many franchises are started by someone who might be new to the franchise world. It’s exciting to open up a new store and have a part in making it happen, but opening up a franchise also means taking on the responsibilities of a company website. More and more people are beginning to search for different locations and companies online, so having your own website is great for a few reasons:
- Easy to find. With the introduction of Google+, Google is now more than ever placing local results at the top of a users search engine results page (SERP). If your franchise has its own website, you have a much better chance that it will show up at the top of a SERP and someone will find you!
- Content more targeted. If you have your own website, you can target your content to your audience. If there is something going on in your community, consider advertising a special promotion or deal for customers in its honor. This will help your company create real connections with customers that go to that actual store.
- Social media becomes easier. Social media is one of the best ways to create connections with your actual customers, and having your own website will allow you to connect your accounts to your actual website. Having one account for all franchises isn’t nearly as personal.
While all of this is great, it doesn’t mean much if people can’t find your individual franchise website. The best way to do this is through SEO services, and if each franchise has its own website, each franchise also needs its own SEO services.
