Negative feedback on the web can be detrimental to your online business or brand. Business owners need to maintain strong brand positioning through online reputation management strategy. Having even one negative rating can change a customer’s mind from purchasing your product to avoiding your website altogether. This can all be avoided by careful management of your websites keywords. To do so, browse through the search engines (Google, Yahoo, and Bing) typing in your business name and other names associated with it. Look through the first three pages to see if any negative feedback is written about your brand. If so you may want to rethink the way you position your brand or try to contact the customers who write the reviews and try to resolve the problem. Also review sites and social networking sites should be kept under close scrutiny to see if anyone has been posting negative reviews about your company’s website. If you see any online reputations that do not look good you will need to create a strategy to remove the feedback. Your online reputation management strategy can include blog postings, link building, creating new websites geared towards specific keywords, contact a professional search engine optimization company.
