To get listed on DMOZ and Yahoo directories you have to have superb site with many useful content. And damn that's pricey.

If you have a lot of money then use DMOZ coz it greatly affects your PR and increase your site's traffic. But if you don't have the money, use the other techniques that are free and also drive traffic to your site like social bookmarking, blog commenting, video posting, etc. Anyway, I really think this is a good post. I'm not convinced that it is a worthwhile investment… especially since there are no guarantees. I want to do it, but $300 is a lot of money to shell out on hope.
The Benefits are obvious, but a question appears: How to get listed in Dmoz? I tried several methods, I even proposed money to several editors but still nothing.

I don’t even think that it is possible to get listed in Dmoz, I have tried repetedly and so far no results, while yahoo directory can help you a bit in yahoo listing that’s all.
